God is Love
I John 4:8
NEW YEAR
When school starts back, pupils open new exercise books, receive new text books! A new year to learn lots of new things!
Happy New Year to all of you, children, parents and teachers. May you remember that Jesus is the Good Shepherd and that he wants to lead you in the best pastures.
The will of God is that your joy will be complete in trusting in him. The Apostle Paul said: “Rejoice always, again I say rejoice” (Philippians 4:4)
THE BIBLE
The Bible is like a library, with the Word of God. God used more than 40 people to write it over the centuries: Kings, shepherds, prophets, farmers, a doctor, academics, fishermen…
• How many books are there in there in the Bible?....
• Rearrange these words in the right order: God Breathed All Scripture is (2 Timothy 3:16)
TRAVELS
This year again, we’re going to travel to meet lots of children and families in many countries: Belgium, Luxembourg, France, North Africa, Congo, Brazil, Bulgaria.
We’ll also get news from other countries such as Madagascar, India, Togo and Burkina Faso…
When we travel by plane we think that the Earth is tiny and the Sky huge, infinite. Like the love of God for each one of us. The Bible tells us that the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth (Zechariah 4:10).

THE BIBLE
Here’s a puzzle for you to solve. You have to add the vowels a-e-i-o-u in the right place. Then get in touch and let us know what you found.

FESTIVALS
In each country there are different popular festivals. There are two festivals which are in opposition, one in November and one in December.
- Halloween takes place in the evening of the 31st October. Children dress up as monsters, ghosts, witches etc with costumes that are scary. Then they go from house to house asking for sweets. This festival is particularly popular in Ireland, Canada, Australia, Great Britain and in the United States thought it is also popular in France.
Often a pumpkin is placed in front of the house with a candle inside it. The festival comes from old pagan festivals to celebrate the spirit of the dead.
- Christmas – the 25th December in contrast is a festival of Joy. Christmas is the day when we celebrate the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem in Israel over 2000 years ago. And what good news It is!
Jesus, the Son of God came to the earth to save those who turn to him, to take away their sins! Jesus – the Light of the World!
- So what festival should you choose? Fear or Joy? Curse or blessings?
ME! I’ve chosen to celebrate the birth of Jesus, I’ve chosen joy! Happy Christmas…with Jesus
MAIL
We are really happy when children or parents write to us. It’s great to share what’s happening in our lives or to think about what God has to say to us in the Bible! Please keep on writing to us, we’ll write back, that’s a promise!
