Simple, like a child.

I think that you have already heard it said that Jesus loves children. But you, do you really believe that? Do you truly believe that Jesus loves you immensely? Yes, you are in the heart of God!

Sometimes you may think that children are less important than adults. That’s certainly not true. Listen, Jesus himself said that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like children in their heart!

It means the way in which a child’s heart naturally trusts, that a child knows instinctively that they need other people, they need help, support, encouragement and direction.

When other children or adults see that you love Jesus, see that you speak to him and that you choose to do what pleases God and obey his word, well they are astonished, or pleased, or encouraged. You become a good example.

When you pray alone, or at church, or with your family, pray simply, naturally. Don’t try and use words or expressions that you don’t yet understand but speak truly with all your heart to God.

Certain people may find it funny to hear you pray but as for you, you know that God listens to you and that he always answers you in one way or another. You know that God is bigger than everyone and everything, he is the Almighty. God listens to you and he does not forget what you say or what you ask of him.

It is good to be strong, to have some money, to know lots of things, but the true strength and power comes from God, through prayer.

Always trust in God. He loves you and will always love you. You can trust in his promises.

As you grow older and as you learn more at school you will grow in knowledge, but never forget to keep that child-like faith, a complete and utter faith in God, in Jesus!

This faith, this confidence is a treasure for all of your life.
